Converting to SD Video from a 4:3 source:
Adapted from the
method originally presented by Ajamils
Programs Required: WinAVI Video Converter, Panasonic MovieStage
§
Of all the methods, this is by far the
simplest – only one program is involved before MovieStage.
§
After installing WinAVI Video Converter, open
up the program, and on the far right centre click à WMV – this will open a Select Files dialog box.
§
Find your source file and click OK.
§
On the next window, click Advanced.
§
Under Encode make sure that all Picture Clips are set to 0, Source Target Rate is 15, and Aspect Ratio is 4:3.
§
Under WMV make sure that the Encoder is WMV# DVD Quality Encoder (the
higher the number the better), Picture
Size is 320x240, Quality is 90% and Audio Sample Rate is 44100.
§
Then click OK to return to the Any to WMV window.
§
Finally, select your Output Directory as your MovieStage Encoding folder.
§
Click OK to begin the conversion – you can often
ignore any boxes which tell you that you’re missing certain codecs – it
converts anyway.
§
After it finished close the program.
§
Follow the MovieStage
instructions to convert to SD Video.
